Regardless of ethnicity, gender, or body ability, we were all children once: Curious, questioning, accepting, compassionate, openminded, and in love with justice. And then we grew older, our bodies became adult. But why must our humanity outgrow these child qualities? As we champion equity, we find our grounding and reintroduce the inner child. Can you hear it now? The child who says, "How is that fair?" Or, "Why do people have to sleep outside?" These are not childish questions. They are child-like, the voice of human reason. As adults, we've woven hairballs of complexity, each generation adding their snowflake formulas until nothing makes sense anymore. So let us be like children again. Let us invite simple, child-like rationality in all its genius while we not forget: Ageism is a thing too. Your inner child wants out, it has things you need to hear. Join us and let us listen too.
