Each month, The Equity Consortium invites you to a mixed company listening circle. The world is inside out and upside down: it's time to find your new normal.
Theme for March 23: Redefining Professionalism
We all know at some level that a goal of diversity in any organization is simply not enough. What happens when we are at the table? [See Aspects and Assumptions of White Culture in the USA] We've been told to "Bring your authentic self" but when we do, it's misunderstood. [See Seattle's very own Jodi-Ann Burey's TedTalk, "The myth of bringing your authentic self to work"] It's our turn to define what "professionalism' means. We need assurance of expertise, but how we chose to work together is now our decision.
This is our sixth circle is ONLINE and we like using Google Meeting so far (except for the one time...) Once registered, We send you a Google Meet link THE DAY BEFORE. You don't need a Google account (phone in also welcome) and participation is secure and will not be recorded. Please prepare a virtual space that is private and without distraction as possible. We love your children and animals so no stress, fam.
