"What's the Worst that Could Happen?"Tuesday, May 26, 2026, 5 - 7:30pm PST
The news cycle proves more outrageous than the one before: Overload is a nefarious strategy to overwhelm. So what have we learned this last 12 months about ourselves as we witness the growing definition of "worst"? The time again has come to pause long enough to process, take stock of our learning, and strategize.
Mom said, "So what's the plan, Stan?" Both prepared and preparing to create our new world, let's pause time for just a moment and gather our stories. We fill our baskets with critical supplies: visibility, relief, inspiration, legacy, gratitude... After a year hiatus, we invite you back to the circle as we plot and plan for our collective liberation, to put to use all that has been learned. Rubber, meet road. Road, rubber. It's our turn to drive. Fuck fascism, now is not the time to go at it alone. Join us, because it's re-evolution time. That's Equity! Needs for accommodation will be met with diligence and care. Please include in your registration or email [email protected] All needs for accommodations shall be met with diligence and care. Always free, contributions accepted. Nothing to prepare, just a space you deserve. Background photo is a mountain range in black and white.

What is a Listening Circle, and What Can I Expect?
|
We honor of our ancestors, and our connection to the earth, and each other.
In other spaces where we invite learning, relationship, productivity, we tend to do so with a cultural element of competition. Too often, those who talk the loudest or longest are the only voices heard. That's sad. Everyone has a point of view, a story to tell. By changing the format in which we share thoughts, ideas, challenges, and aspirations, we invite the art of listening. A listening circle is not a conversation. It's not a dialogue. It's not a place to give advice or ask for advice. It's something else. We re-introduce the art of listening using the simple and durable technique of taking our turn, in order, uninterrupted, to answer a single question. Some questions are that interesting such as: "Where does power and love interact in your life?" "How will our time be viewed in the future?' Or simply, "How are you really doing?" Sometimes, it's enough to just be heard. |
